Tha Carter IV is the upcoming ninth studio album by American rapper Lil Wayne. The album was originally intended to be released on May 16, 2011, however, it has been pushed back until August 29.
The album's lead single "6 Foot 7 Foot", was released on December 19, 2010 and was produced by "A Milli" producer Bangladesh. The song samples from "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" by Harry Belafonte. The song features Cory Gunz and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On March 23, 2011, "John", which features Rick Ross, was released. The song samples Rick Ross' "I'm Not a Star" hook, the first track off Teflon Don. The song peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
On May 26, 2011, the single was released and titled "How to Love." The entire song is sung over a slow instrumental produced by Detail.The song was released to iTunes for digital download on that same day. According to Detail says that Lil Wayne uses no Auto-Tune on the song.
On June 12, 2011, a song from Carter IV was released named "Nightmares Of The Bottom". The song was produced by Tha Bizness.
